İSTAÇ continues to focus on investments in energy production facilities in order to support the low carbon economy, which is one of the foundations of its sustainability strategy, to dispose of and recycle waste and to reduce energy dependency.
In order to make Istanbul, Turkey's most populous city, cleaner and more livable, ISTAÇ manages urban cleaning, halal cleaning, sea cleaning, coastal and beach cleaning. ISTAÇ has the latest technology, is environmentally friendly, less noisy and produces low emissions.
An average of 18,000 tonnes of domestic waste is generated daily in Istanbul. Approximately 5,000 tonnes of household waste is transported by district municipalities and 13,000 tonnes of household waste is transported by ISTAC's transport fleet to ISTAC Solid Waste Transfer Stations located on the Anatolian and European sides.
ISTAÇ, today, evaluates environmental problems with a holistic perspective and successfully carries out consultancy service projects abroad with over 60 expert engineers competent in their fields.
